  • How can I/my child access Google Classroom and the related GSuite for Education tools?

We have created this handy guide to take you through initial set up.

  • I'm sharing a device with my child and having difficulty keeping my gmail account and my child's berkshiremontessori.org account separate.

There are several ways to help keep your accounts straight. The most straightforward is perhaps creating a separate user account or  profile for your child on your device. Alternately, using a separate web browser for your child's @berkshiremontessori.org account will help keep things straight. For example, if you typically use Firefox, download Google Chrome for your child's MSB at Home access.

  • When I go to Google Classroom, no classes are visible.

Please be sure you are logged in to your child's @berkshiremontessori.org account. You can check this by looking in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Click on the little bubble with name and initials. If your name is displayed and your child's is not, you may select "add another user" and enter their credentials. Then you will be able to toggle between your account and your child's all google tools.

  • Can I use a Kindle Fire to access GSuite for Education?

Not reliably. Amazon's KindleOS does not include Google Chrome, which is required for G Suite for Education access.

  • The Google Play Store doesn't work on my child's device

We have adjusted the settings on our Google Education system, and students' devices should all now be able to access Google Play, and download Google Apps, while logged into their MSB profiles. Please contact tech support if you aren't able to access Google Play while logged into your MSB account.

  • Help, we are getting too many Google Classroom emails!

If you are finding the number of emails coming into your/your child's email inbox overwhelming, you can adjust the type of notifications Google Classroom sends. Here is an overview of how to change those settings.

  • Ack, there's just too much to keep track of!

There are a number of tools built in to Google Classroom and the GSuite tools that help with organization. Here's an overview of a few you and your child might find useful.
