MSB @ Home

Collaborative Effort to Support Home Learning

During these weeks of physical separation, MSB is working to create a robust plan to support ongoing community connection, keep our children engaged and actively working, and support parents as they juggle many disruptions to their daily lives. This page will serve as a point of reference and source of information, and will be updated regularly as resources are available to share.

MSB @ Home Intentions

More information about our overall program is available through our MSB @ Home Handbook. The guidance contained therein will assist us in partnering with parents to uphold our six intentions:
  1. Provide for continuity of learning with limited or no use of school premises.
  2. Support maintaining social connection for all of our students.
  3. Facilitate connection to community and a sense of belonging to help support mental health of our community and children.
  4. Use the Montessori approach to education to give all of our students familiar work patterns, even while they are in a different environment with different resources.
  5. Help parents provide an independent work cycle for all of our children so that parents can work from home as well.
  6. Give the children plenty to do so they can be creative, engaged, and actively working.

Plants for the Pause

We know that our campus is a big part of the Montessori experience, so we are bringing it to you through the MSB Plants for the Pause Project. Care for the growth and development of your potted pansy at home and return it to MSB when campus reopens so we can plant them all together! Care instructions are here.

A huge thank you to Ward's Nursery for the donation of plants!
