Marissa is a Florida native. She graduated from The University of West Florida with a B.A. in Psychology and minors in Juvenile Justice, Child Welfare and Forensic Studies. Marissa received her IMC early childhood certification from The Center for Guided Montessori Studies (MACTE accredited) and her AMI Montessori certification from the Montessori Training Center Northeast. Prior to becoming a Montessori guide, Marissa worked as a teacher's assistant in a traditional preschool and as an elementary outdoor education teacher. Marissa's greatest passions in life are traveling and tasting new cuisines. She can also be found biking, hiking, cooking/baking, gardening, backpacking, and finding peace on her yoga mat.
