Deanna Dement Myers

Deanna Dement Myers (she/her) has worked in educational administration at every level. Starting at Harvard University at the Radcliffe Publishing Course in the 90s, she held roles in IT and program management. She transitioned to a role in Human Resources and HR systems management, implementing the university’s first unified employee hiring system, among other operational and university-wide systems. In 2010 Deanna changed careers and became a development professional. Her first role was at Fayerweather Street School (Cambridge, MA.) As Director of Development, she successfully ran three targeted capital campaigns, raising over $4M, while increasing Annual Fund giving, and executing a robust event calendar. Other schools Deanna has held positions at include The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Buxton School. Her particular passion is for donor engagement and stewardship. She has presented on events management, board management, and development technology at national and local conferences. 


Deanna serves on the Board of Overseers at Bard College at Simons Rock; with a focus on securing funding for their Simon’s Rock at Montserrat Projects ($1M+). She has served on the boards of The YWCA in Cambridge, Girls Rock Campaign Boston, and the Watertown Family Network. She has a BA from the University of Iowa. Deanna has also been an election official in the towns of Watertown, MA and Washington, MA, where she resides. 


Currently, Deanna is developing her artistic practice which includes sculpture and painting. She is also a fiber artist and avid reader. Deanna identifies as a Jew of Color and as AAPI. She has two daughters, a loving partner, and many dogs.
